SOFI AIRLINES is probably the most ambitious project Sofi has ever developed.
Combining engineering, aviation, and electronic music, the performance transforms authentic aircraft cockpit components into a fully playable live musical instrument.
Real Boeing 737 overhead panels, Airbus A320 throttle quadrants, cockpit switches, annunciators, and flight controls have been entirely reverse-engineered, rewired, and connected to Ableton Live through custom Python software and bespoke electronics.
Rather than using traditional MIDI controllers, every aircraft control becomes an expressive musical interface capable of manipulating synthesizers, drums, effects, sequencing, and lighting in real time.
The performance itself follows the structure of a flight. Boarding announcements, radar interfaces, cockpit procedures, takeoff, cruising, and landing become part of the narrative, turning the concert into an immersive audiovisual journey.

In 2021, Sofi co-founded Morninglory, an independent Paris-based collective dedicated to creating multidisciplinary electronic music experiences.
